Lpp-OmpA Zif268
A fusion protein of a transmembrane domain (Lpp-OmpA) and a zinc-finger domain (Zif268 1AAY fragment),under pL_lac promotion and containing a C-terminal FLAG tag. It is used to exhibit a zinc-finger dsDNA binding domain complimentary to CCGCCCNCGC on the cell surface of E.coli.

Zif268
Cells transformed with the Lpp-OmpA-Zif268 construct; wild-type, uninduced and induced in order from left to right. The cells were washed first with an Anti-FLAG antibody, followed by an Anti-mouse fluorescent antibody. The cells were then observed under a fluorescence microscoopy. The uninduced cells show the expected result, as did the induced; however the wild type appears to show high fluorescence. The striped on the induced cells are likely due to poor slide preparation, and the result from the wild-type is likely due to poor wash to remove the antibody.
